Maserati claims

Letters

THE Maserati saga raises some interesting questions about the behaviour of those in public office.
The Public Finance Management Act sets out stringent procurement procedures which in this case has raised serious eyebrows.
However, it is wrong for those speaking against the Maserati saga to call for a strike.
This method of persuasion is historically not favourable to Papua New Guinea.
What unionists, the opposition Parliamentarians and the general public should do is lobby for the sidelining of those involved in the Maserati saga and all portfolios and public offices held by those involved to be removed.
The Prime Minister should convene an emergency Cabinet meeting to this effect to replace ministers involved so that his government is not challenged within the Apec period as a result of the Maserati purchase.
