A SMALL crowd turned up at The Cosmopolitan in Port Moresby last Friday to watch international soul and rhythm and blues singer Tevin Campbell.

The crowd was small compared to recent shows by international musicians.

Campbell sang to music provided by DJ AK47.

However, the group of dedicated fans was left unsatisfied because the show lasted around 30 minutes.

Campbell left many big rhythm and blues  fans hungry for more when he left the stage after only five songs. One expatriate said he was not satisfied with the performance for which he had paid K70.

“PNG people have a right and should expect quality performances by supposedly professional performers,” John Grenenger said.

He said he would contact the organising company Ginen Group on the matter.

Campbell excited the crowd when he hit the high notes on hits Can we talk for a minute and I’m ready.

The next artist to arrive in PNG will be Jamaican hip hop and reggae artist Sean Kingston.
