CHIMBU provincial administrator Joe Kunda told political leaders and public servants in Kundiawa last Friday to do more to serve the people.

“There is no better time than today if we are to deliver services and make impacts in the lives of the people,” Kunda said.

He targeted politicians, administrative leaders, public servants, teachers, policemen during the launching of the Chimbu Secondary School’s assessments and reporting handbook.

Kunda has been instrumental in driving the provincial administration resulting in it being ranked the best in the country in the delivery of services.

“We will support programmes of the education division to ensure that assessments and reporting are maintained in secondary schools.

“I appeal to teachers to work hard because the students under their care are the future of Chimbu and PNG,” Kunda said.

He acknowledged the efforts of Governor Noah Kool in supporting programmes in education as human capital development is the top priority in the province.

Kool, who launched the handbook at the Education office last Friday, said since the inception of the education reform, there had been no change in assessment and reporting for primary and secondary schools.
