Association receives K800 worth of trophies

NATIONAL Finance recently supported a sports association with trophies for their grand finals in Central.
The firm gave K800 worth of trophies to the Highway Sports Association which held its soccer and netball competition grand finals at Lebogoro village along the Magi Highway on Dec 27.
Speaking during the awards ceremony, National Finance Port Moresby branch manager Elijah Baroro encouraged youths to refrain from drugs and alcohol.
“You must live a positive life with a good mindset,” he said.
“Grow with the attitude of a leader to maintain a safe and peaceful environment for our women and children.”
Association president Koby Lago thanked National Finance for the sponsorship.
“Thank you for reaching out to the community level to help address social issues by promoting sports in our community,” Lago said.
The event was attended by Rigo delegates and locals.
Baroro said it was the first time for Rigo West leaders to stand together to help address social issues and ensure a peaceful festive season there.
