TEAM Papua New Guinea athletes visited Goroka institutions on Friday to share the Olympic Value Education Programme as part of their week-long Olympic camp at the National Sports Institute. PNG Olympic Committee executive officer Desmond Kaviagu told The National yesterday that 2018 Commonwealth Games silver medallist Dika Toua and Pacific sprint champion Toea Wisil spoke to students about the importance of hard work.
“The programme teaches participants about the Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect,” he said.
“The athletes divided themselves into three groups and talked about what each value means and how they practise them daily.
“The athletes, including Toua and Wisil, introduced themselves and spoke about working hard to pursue their Olympic dreams.”
