Attack on journalist

Letters

THIS is a call to the office of the Morobe governor to see what punishment he will give to his four officers who has been fined by the Lae District Court for the attack on Post Courier journalist Franky Kapin.
The people of Morobe, both in the province and around the country, are waiting to see if the governor, as the leader of the province, will apologise to Kapin, the Lae media team and the Media Council of PNG.
The media plays an important role in promoting civic participation and empowerment, advancing development and human rights.
The media should be able to operate without fear or favour, and enjoy media freedom as a basic human right as enshrined in the Constitution of Papua New Guinea.
