ATTITUDE is everything.
Success or failure of an individual, community, province or nation hinges on the type of attitude.
Generally speaking, most Papua New Guineans have this no care attitude from the streets to the highest offices of the country.
This is the main hindrance in our aspirations for success and growth in all sectors of our beautiful country.
There are some good thinking Papua New Guineans with the right attitude who strive to develop the nation but majority are going the opposite direction.
This often leads to frustration and they sometimes give up.
It is very hard to address this issue because it is well grounded in our culture.
Sadly, this attitude is painting a bad image to the international community within the country and abroad.
Having studied abroad, it saddens me to see Papua New Guinean students practicing this no care attitude in and out of the institutions without any regard for the authorities.
Instead of bringing changes and encouraging other to change, we intentionally or unintentionally keep on encouraging this no care attitude to eat away the fabrics of our society.
The fact is that attitude can change but it takes time and needs the right environment.
The only solution for the country is to groom children on Biblical principles from the early stages of life.
There is a huge call for the parents, teachers and the government in the current challenging time but with God nothing is impossible.
Let us give our best and ask God to do the rest.
