Auga River funding

Letters

I THANK the Woitape LLG council and Mineral Resources Authority (MRA) for the funding received by the Auga Dilava resource association in regards to the Auga River pollution campaign.
After much work, the association has come through for the affected people of Auga. I know that this money is seed capital for the organisation which has been operating on the street on a credit basis.
There’s a difference between seed capital and the actual benefit for the affected people and this needs to be clarified by the MRA and the LLG council so that people can understand the difference and why the seed funding is necessary.
The absence of any clear indication of where the money will be going is creating confusion, especially among the people who think it is for them.
