SMALL and medium businesses in Port Moresby will be made aware of business advisory services in an awareness event today.
The awareness is organised by the Business Link Pacific (BLP) and the Port Moresby chamber of commerce and industry.
A statement said that the BLP “works to improve and promote local business advisory service networks available to small-medium businesses to help them access services that are responsive to their needs.”
The BLP network of business advisers is a regional hub of 180 firms in eight Pacific Islands which offers small business-focused services.
The statement said, PNG-based businesses have accessed business advisory services worth over K2 million – 50 per cent of this investment was done by the private sector directly.
“Local businesses have also accessed K560,000 in business adaptation grants provided to businesses in the region to support them in adapting to the post-Covid environment.
“BLP also works with local financial institutions to improve financial inclusion.
