NASFUND Contributors Savings and Loan Society (NCSL) branches in Wabag, Enga, and Mt Hagen, Western Highlands, have been temporarily closed due to election-related concerns, according to the society.
Wabag branch has been closed since Monday while the Mt Hagen branch closed on Tuesday.
NCSL chief executive officer Vari Lahui said the Wabag branch would be closed indefinitely until there was calm in the province and the Mt Hagen branch would resume operation tomorrow.
Lahui said the precautionary step taken by NCSL to close the branches was necessary to keep its employees safe during this time.
He further advised that during this time of disruption to branch operations, services could still be accessed via the electronic channels and encouraged members to use the e-services.
“Transactions can be performed using the online portal and SMS banking services,” he said.
“Members can also reach out to any of other branches nationwide including our head office which are operating as normal.”
