Bad street in Gerehu

Letters

Moresby North-West MP Sir Mekere Morauta and Governor Powes Parkop should visit Section 346 and 347 in Gerehu and see the street we live in.
While the place is a home to some leading public servants and private sector workers, you will find it difficult to understand how we cope with the situation every day.
The condition of the feeder road leading to our homes is absolutely pathetic.
The location is on the fringes of the main Gerehu Stage 2 and is one of the neglected and forgotten residential areas that have not seen any developments for the past 40 years.
Thanks to Vitis Industries for building a very modern shopping mall in our vicinity; it adds value and colour to our environment.
Sirs, we humbly request you fund a contractor to upgrade and seal Vakari Street to Gerehu Stage 6 as well as our feeder road into Botai Place where we live.
As ratepayers of NCDC, we believe we deserve to have services similar to other communities.
It would be nice to have essential government services coming our way too.
