THE Port Moresby Outrigger canoe club’s preparations for the Pacific Games in New Caledonia next year has been boosted with ten new paddles from BSP.
The P3 blade paddles presented by BSP are top of the range and used worldwide will surely boost team morale.
POMOCC has more than 50 junior and senior paddlers and conduct four training sessions per week and urges others to join the club.
In a small ceremony at the PNGDF naval base in Port Moresby last week club president Jonathan Kassman when accepting the paddles from BSP’s Rosemary Mawe expressed gratitude as they had been using “very old and worn out paddles”.
Club treasurer Kila Nouairi shared similar sentiments and assured BSP that the support would go a long way helping the team.
He also acknowledged BSP’s support to community and sporting initiatives nationwide, such as the tennis for schools and the school cricket initiative.
