Basic police training

Twenty-five employees from the Higaturu Oil Palm Company recently completed a six-week intensive training programme conducted by the PNG Royal Constabulary officials from Bomana.
The employees, mainly security guards, were trained as police reservists. The constabulary’s code of ethics, basic investigation and arrest procedures, the constitution, human rights laws, basic traffic duties, family sexual violence offenses, juvenile justice protocols and Child Protection Act were some units learned.
