Be tough on marijuana

Letters

MARIJUANA can cause permanent brain damage to those who consume it.
Cultivation and consumption of marijuana is now the biggest threat for this country.
It is a time bomb.
People are selling and consuming it in public places as if it is normal.
Consumers and sellers have no respect for those who do not consume it.
Females don’t feel safe to move freely and our properties are subject to thievery as drug addicts think they can do anything.
Even school students consume marijuana and when they do not do well, they blame it on sorcery.
Many marijuana impacts go unnoticed.
All this is because the law on drugs is very weak and it needs to be toughened.
The Government needs urgent review on its law on drugs and should toughen the penalties.
People who cultivate and smuggle marijuana should face 30 years or life imprisonment and consumers should serve up to 20 years’ imprisonment.
The Government should allow police to execute shoot-to-kill order if they resist arrest.
I appeal to Prime Minister James Marape and Justice Minister Bryan Kramer to look into this matter because it is a threat to the society.

  • Yes, I support Wel Temai, growing and consuming of marijuana has caused a great threat to our society today. I’m appealing to national government to find ways to solve this matter.

  • Is not the marijuana causing the problems in the society it’s the person who consuming it so I support wel
Temai but infact people blame marijuana for abusively consuming marijuana. I think we can make some thing out of marijuana.
