Bears, Saints to continue build-up

FORM teams Saints and Bears will look to continue their momentum when they meet in the Port Moresby Women’s Softball Association A-grade competition at the Bisini Diamonds tomorrow.
With the calibre of players they have at their disposal, both teams are expected to battle it out till the end.
In other matches, Moni Plus Gazelle face Yokomo, Stingerz meet a tricky Chebu side and unbeaten competition leaders United Sisters should ease past a depleted Wantoks outfit.
Sisters and Gazelle are the two only unbeaten teams in the competition and it will be interesting tussle when the two sides meet before the festive period.
Meanwhile, association president Ian Soweni has warned that by tomorrow, all clubs should have paid at least 50 per cent of their affiliation fees.
“Those clubs who have not paid any fees yet, please be reminded that by the start of round two (next year), all affiliations fees (K2,000) are to be paid in full or your clubs will be penalised if you fail to pay,” he said. “There will be no games on Dec 21 as per last week’s amended draw. Instead, all outstanding games will be played in the New Year. The amended draw will be circulated to all clubs before we finish the year.”
