Beware of defamation

I FIND it interesting The National’s article regarding the local fellow who wants to curb ‘corporate greed’.
This chap clearly has forgotten or is ignorant of the law, or has no understanding of the long word called ‘liability’.
Any post made about anyone or anything can be considered defamatory and be followed up with damages claims and lawsuits against the person posting it.
All are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Anyone involved in the slander or making defamatory statements against anyone or a company is liable whether they believe it to be true or not!
