THE Basketball Federation Papua New Guinea (BFPNG) is set to hold its annual general meeting (AGM) at the Taurama Aquatic and Indoor Centre in Port Moresby on April 25.
This was confirmed by acting president Karo Lelai to The National via email last week.
She extended the notice to all the affiliates to attend the AGM.
“This is an election AGM and all nomination forms are available now,” Lelai said.
The positions up for election are president, vice-president and secretary as the main agendas of the day.
The presidency was occupied by Nick Daroa but he stepped in as executive officer following the resignation of Stephen Damien. Lelai then stepped in as acting president.
The pair’s input has not only moved basketball to the next level but has gained the confidence of the corporate and public sector.
The Fiba Oceania is also actively involved with BFPNG because of the professional approach taken by the administrators in developing and promoting the sport in the country.
Reports of the acting president, treasurer and executive officer will also be presented at the AGM.
