THE Papua New Guinea Bible church will build a K5 million complex at its Waigani compound, NCD, to include a conference room and offices.
Church members, guests and project partners witnessed a ground-breaking ceremony last Saturday.
The building, according to project manager Kili Tambua, is about 22m by 40m and will look like a capital letter “T” when completed.
Kili said the church had entered into an agreement with L&A Constructions to have the building completed.
They have already paid K200,000 to the company to have the steel frame and concrete set up.
“The target is K5 million but we are starting with a 15% budget,” Kili said.
“This is a church and everything we do is based on faith.”
He said the church members funded the project themselves.
The project was conceived in 2005 when the eight branches in Port Moresby decided to build a bigger church and office complex for its pastors.
