TO celebrate the recent St Joseph feast day, Bishop Rozario rededicated the newly renovated St Joseph Catholic Chapel at Eight-Mile, Lae.
Lae Catholic Diocese Bishop Rozario Menezes, said in his sermon last month that upon a visit to the chapel previously has intrigued him for renovations to be done.
“We were here at the pastoral center and after we were done, I told Morobe Provincial Administrator Max Bruten for us to come up to the chapel to say a word of prayer before leaving.
“Upon seeing the state of the chapel, Max asked me about what we should do, and here is the result of it,” Bishop Rozario said.
The chapel was fully renovated with new tiles installed for the floor and freshly painted walls inside as well as the outside walls.
Bruten encouraged the Catholic faithful’s in Morobe to make their church more alive in Christ.
“Whenever we go to church as a faithful, we should know that we have gone to praise and Worship God and as such ought to be active in prayer,” Bruten said.
He said that he comes from a Catholic Charismatic Renewal movement background and reminded faithful to actively participate in the holy mass.
The rededication of the St Joseph Chapel also saw the donation of a catholic faithful Josephine Komoru, who donated a new St Joseph statue.
Bishop Rozario highlighted his sermon by encouraging Christians to emulate St Joseph’s silent life in the scripture.
