SECURITY firm Black Swan International continued their sponsorship of Royals Rugby League Club with the presentation of new uniforms and merchandise valued at K15,000 in Port Moresby yesterday.
The firm gave two sets of jumpers for the men’s and women’s teams, T-shirts, singlets and caps which will be sold to raise funds for the Port Moresby Rugby League ladder leaders.
Black Swan country operations manager Clay Sherlock, on behalf of general manager Brett Thomson who is away on a business trip overseas, told Royals president Brian Kombe and his executives that they were proud to continue their partnership with the club.
Royals lead the men’s and women’s divisions while their Under-20s are second.
Sherlock said earlier in the season, the company paid K3,000 for club affiliation and player registrations, totaling K18,000.
Kombe thanked Black Swan for supporting the club since 2015 despite the tough economic situation affecting the country.
“This is a morale-booster for the players and team management to do better in the competition with five matches remaining before the playoffs,” he said.
Kombe said the Black Swan’s continued support indicated that the firm was also focused on community-orientated activities, including sports.
