Blacks aim to go past Dabaris in Southern Super League

MORESBY South Blacks are not taking Central Dabaris Development lightly as they look to polish up their defence for the Southern Super League National Gaming Control Board Cup preliminary finals at Moresby South Stadium on Saturday.
Despite the lengthy delay due to the Coronavirus pandemic, co-captains Michael Yanis and Junior Rocky have been committed to training as they look to reach the grand final of the inaugural season.
Blacks’ training has been affected a number of players’ National Capital District Governor’s Cup commitments.
“We have dropped Junior Hoki, Joseph Komali and Jerry Lo for not attending training on Monday,” Southern Super League chief executive Bagelo Solien said.
“That is really disappointing.
“They will not play in the preliminary final against Dabaris, so we’re expecting to reshuffle our line-up. I don’t know why these players prioritise the Governor’s Cup over Southern Super League that offers cash prizes totalling K60,000.”
