Body found floating in sea

THE body of an unidentified man was found floating in the sea at Sek Point, a few kilometres from Madang town, Madang police commander acting Supt Mazuc Rubiang says.
“The body was found by villagers who reported to the police, but we could not establish the identity of the man,” he said.
Acting Supt Rubiang said the man had a necklace made of beads and was wearing a red trousers and looks like a man from the coastal areas.
He said the body was retrieved with the assistance of medical staff from Sek Hospital and was now in the Modilon General Hospital mortuary.
Acting Supt Rubiang said anyone in Madang or outside Madang who had been looking for a lost relative could contact Madang police to identify the body.
“We are still investigating the case,” he said.
“Suspicious deaths are on the rise and people must be wary when moving around.
“Do not trust anyone or strangers.”
