Boyfriend in custody over woman’s death, police say

THE boyfriend of the woman found murdered in Gabi, Hanuabada village in Moresby Northwest on Sunday, is in police custody.
Met Supt Perou N’dranou said he did not have a progressive report from his investigators.
The woman, 24, was found naked waist-down in shallow water in a marshy area by another woman on Sunday morning.
She is suspected to be a victim of rape and stabbing.
The woman had cuts on her cheek and neck which were visible when the towel that was covering her was removed.
Police could not give information on the object used to inflict wounds on the victim’s face.
