SP Brewery wants to support the Government’s focus on agriculture.
Corporate affairs manager John Nilkare said this after the company won the “Innovation award” in the big organisation category during the PNG Innovation 2019 summit in Port Moresby last Friday.
The award was in recognition of SP Brewery’s cassava product in Morobe that produces the Pawa Punch brew.
“We are truly honoured to receive this award,” Nilkare said.
He said the project supported farmers in Morobe with a network of 450 farmers who will be supplying at the end of this month the SP cassava factory in Erap, in Wampar, Huon Gulf.
