UPGRADING work at the Port Moresby Nature Park has been given a big boost with the donation of a tractor by Brian Bell.
Brian Bell’s branch manager of agriculture, Ashley Swayn, handed over the tractor to Nature Park general manager Michelle McGeorge as part of the company’s continuing support as a silver sponsor.
She said the tractor had features such as a wood chipper, a slasher and backhoe “which is why we chose it”.
“(It) will be used for bigger developments and projects in the park, like excavations associated with moving of heavy materials and slashing that needs to be done at the park,” she said.
McGeorge said the tractor would help a lot, especially with more projects planned this year.
The park is a charity which relies on the donations and support of sponsors, NCDC and the community.
