MORE than K150,000 will be donated by Brian Bell Group, its customers and the Sir Brian Bell Foundation to charities around the country.
The first was the Port Moresby-based Gateway Children’s Fund which received K29,734 on Friday.
This was part of the Christmas Wishing Tree promotion.
Brian Bell Homecentres, Trade Electricals and Chemicals provided the opportunity for customers to be involved by allowing them to buy a K5 bauble and placing it on the Christmas Wishing Tree, with a special Christmas message.
The funds raised were given to charities selected by the Sir Brian Bell Foundation.
The foundation also played a significant role in enhancing those donations by contributing K20,000 to each of the seven nominated charities.
Brian Bell Group chief executive Cameron Mackellar said the generosity of customers was amazing. The funds raised would go to charity, he said.
