Brian Bell remains optimistic about future

THE Brian Bell Group remains strong and is always optimistic about the future despite the challenging state of the Papua New Guinea economy, chief executive officer Cameron Mackellar says.
“The economy is in a challenging state at present and unlikely to see much change through the election period.
“The key areas we would like stronger focus but actually less words and more doing is around critical infrastructure projects with health, education and road infrastructure, law and order issues throughout the country, more foreign currency access to allow businesses to grow and simply better engagement between Government and private sector,” he said.
Mackellar said dialogue and cooperation seemed to be non-existent with much policy change and little dialogue between the state and business.
“Our business remains strong and has already delivered a strong first quarter performance and beyond,” he said.
“We are always optimistic about our future and avenues for further trade. We continue to invest in our business in order to make the whole customer experience piece even better for all of our customers throughout all areas of our business operations.
“Our recent opening of our new Homecentre is evidence of that and presently we are constructing a new site in Goroka which will open in 2023 and revamping the Kokopo Homecentre presently for a new look and feel later this year.
“Investing in our business operations is key to us as is investing in our personnel.”
