Sex case adjourned
A man charged with sexual penetration had his case adjourned to tomorrow, so police could confirm where he is originally from. John Gasima told Magistrate Tracy Ganaii that he was from Wapenamanda in Enga. However, police records show he is from Mul-Baiyer in Western Highlands.

Parents call to probe school
Parents and guardians of students attending Kilakila Secondary School in Port Moresby want the Education Department to conduct an independent investigation into the school. They do not want the National Capital District education services to do it.

A COUNSELLING service in Port Moresby is hosting a dinner next month to help abused women and girls. Lifeline PNG director Mary Njen said the corporate dinner would be held on April 4. Tickets are going for K300 per person and K5,000 for a table.

Bail set for suspected thief
Waigani Committal Court Magistrate Tracy Ganaii has granted a K300 bail for a man charged with stealing. Andrew Bena is required to appear in court when scheduled to and not to interfere with state witnesses.

Conspiracy charge returns
A man facing a conspiracy charge returns to the Waigani Committal Court on Thursday to allow police to amend the date of the offence. Magistrate Tracy Ganaii told Ruben Aila that police needed time to make the amendment.

A businessman from Hela claims the Government owes his firm around K4.7 million for work on the Komo loop roads. Tokaju Engineering Services Ltd owner Libe Parindali said he was still waiting to be paid.

Haus Ruth gets K3,000
Atlas Steel PNG Ltd recently gave K3,000 to Haus Ruth in Port Moresby. Port Moresby branch manager Peter Browne said the money was raised during the opening of their show homes at Baruni, Port Moresby last month.
