Man on fraud-related charges
A MAN appeared before Waigani Committal Court Magistrate Tracy Ganaii last Friday on fraud-related charges. Rodolfo Aguinaldo of Passay city, in Philippines, was charged with one count of false pretence and one count of dishonestly applying of money belonging to Itana Trading Ltd in Port Moresby between Dec 10, 2012 and Oct 10, 2015. The case was adjourned to July 14.

Accused of extorting money
A MAN charged with intent to extort money appeared before Waigani Committal Court Magistrate Tracy Ganaii last Friday. Lencen Rumi, of Irupi village, in South Fly, Western, was charged with one count of intent to extort money from Elizabeth Allman and her relatives at Section 41, Lot 4, Pelican street in Waigani, Port Moresby, last month. Rumi is out on a K500 bail and is expected to appear in court on July 14.

People urged to help police
ENB police commander Chief Insp Joseph Tabali has urged people in the Reimber and Livuan local level government of Gazelle district, East New Britain to support police. Chief Insp Tabali made this call after two men were murdered last month on different occasions.
