Agreement made
CHEMCARE Group of Companies has signed an apprenticeship agreement with four of its staff working in the bakery department across the country. Four of the six apprentices – from Andersons Lae: Mathilda Bareng, Isaiah Nalamau, Henry Sakey and Cornelius Wramani – signed their apprenticeship contract with Chemcare and the National Apprenticeship and Trade Testing Board. The other two apprentices, Orem Gop and Aisa Jacob, did not attend.

Promotional draw
PANAMEX Pacific in Kokopo, East New Britain, will hold a major promotional draw to give away prizes on Saturday. According to Kokopo Panamex sales representative Elias Wanaliu, the promotion started early last month and will end on Aug 8 with the draw. Wanaliu said was a triple header promotion of MV Waswas bathing soap and a promotion of Anchor products. Wanaliu said in order to get into the mega draw a customer had to spend at least K10 on any Anchor products for a chance to win one of 10 cash prizes.

NEW YORK: Eastman Kodak Co recently granted its executive chairman options for 1.75 million shares as the result of what a person familiar with the arrangement described as an “understanding” with its board that had previously neither been listed in his employment contract nor made public. – Reuters
