VICE-Chancellor Dr Ora Renagi has urged University of Technology students to be the change the country is hoping for. He told the students
that the European Union had invested funds to support PNG run-programmes to improve the standard of living and human development index of the people.

Clean-up for Wau
WAU will undergo a clean-up, all illegal settlers on state land will be evicted, says Wau-Waria MP Marsh Narewec. “I’ve taken this strong stand and have advised the police station commander to start removing those living illegally on State land and thugs,” he said.

Rebuilding disciplined forces
Morobe Governor Luther Wenge is urging the Government to rebuild the disciplined forces – the PNG Defence Force, police and Correctional Services – to better serve country. “We don’t want to see police officers with mouth full of betel nut or consuming alcohol when on duty during official working hours. We don’t want police officers asking for freebies or money before attending to complaints of simple people. Officers must be disciplined.”

Wards recognise Kokopo MP
