Farmers set to meet demand
ENGA potato farmers are all set to meet the market target set by Innovative Agro Industry (IAI) to supply 5000 bags per week. IAI announced two weeks ago that it had set the production target of 5000 bags of fresh potatoes per week from Enga farmers. A senior crop development officer with Lagaip-Porgera district, Janet Yando, told farmers at Wanepap village on Friday that there was a big quota for potatoes set by the Israeli company. She said their challenge was to meet the demand.

Griffin gets leadership role
Elliot Griffin is Westpac Bank’s new head of corporate and commercial banking. Griffin is an experienced corporate banker and leader who has been with Westpac Group since 2009. He has held senior roles with Westpac in Australia, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and most recently Fiji. Westpac PNG managing-director, Adrian Hughes, said Griffin had a very impressive track record leading businesses and teams in the Pacific.

Government entity
THE Hides 4 PDL 7 special purpose authority is a Government entity established by law to deliver infrastructure within the area, says chairman Handy Hamaga. He said on Friday that the entity was established after meeting all the requirements. It was gazetted through the Government Gazette on July 13, 2018.
