Piggies wary of Hunters
COMPETITION leaders GC University Piggies take on third-placed Valley Hunters on Sunday in the Capital Rugby Union premier grade’s match of the round. Both sides are unbeaten with Piggies coach Paul Joseph admitting he was surprised by the Hunters’ early season form. Uni were on fire last round crushing the Juggernauts 35-3 and should have too much fire power across the park to handle the Valley men. “Valley Hunters have taken the competition by storm in this early stages so we won’t take them lightly,” Joseph said. “We had good wins in our last two games but we’re still making too mistakes. “Last week we had a high number of turn overs so that’s something we have to limit against the Hunters.
“They are very good in broken play because they play a sevens style so we’ll have to be very careful.”
Fixtures: Sat, March 30 – Nova v Harlequins, Crusaders v Brothers; Sun, March 31 – Juggernauts v Wanderers, Uni Piggies v Valley Hunters.
