BANK South Pacific customers in downtown Port Moresby now have access to four new automatic teller machines (ATM) located in Mogoru Moto Haus.
BSP retail management was on hand for the soft launch  yesterday.
This was the bank’s commitment to expanding the level of service to customers to a level similar to Australia and abroad, BSP said.
The new location brings the total of BSP ATMs in the downtown area to four – head office, Douglas Street, De-loitte’s   Tower and now Mogoru Moto Haus.
Deputy general manager-retail Lew Kenah said this exercise, though expensive, was  an investment the bank was  doing for the people of PNG to give them easy access to banking.
He explained that an ATM costs almost K100,000, which covered the technology involved, the cost of the premises and others.
Kenah said these ATMs were “stand alones”, as compared to the wall-mounted ATMs and feature motorised card readers where a customer can slot their card into the machine and take out only when the transactions were completed.
