PRIVATE Companies Netball Competition top sides Moore Printing and Bank South Pacific won their respective matches at the Rita Flynn Indoor Complex on Sunday.
Reigning premiers Moore Printing beat QBE Doves 20-4 and in an all bankers affair BSP held off Kina Bank 20-12 to remain in the top four.
With two games remaining before the finals, Moore Printing, Westpac, BSP and QBE Doves are on top four with the points ladder to be finalised and confirmed this week.
Fifteen-year-old Clara Scott of Moore Printing picked up 11 points and was supported by experienced hand Louise Maliaki (9) while the opposition’s Elizabeth Ovo could manage four goals. Moore Printing led 11-1 at halftime.
The second half resumed with centre Kari Ganga replacing Violet Jack while Maki Ray and Venau Aiga helped their side gain control in the attack in the mid court.
On defence, PNG Pepe Nerrie Adula and Charmaine Kila were effective against the locked out opposition shooters.
Doves showed enough fight to suggest that they will be tougher to beat the next time around.
In the other fixture BSP with former Pepe Renagi Mulina (3) and Jacklyn Hape (17) cashed in on a lackluster showing by Kina defenders Angela Maurpi and Lesley Kulala rattle off goals in each half.
BSP mid-courters Vavine Raula, Vele Iamo and Theresa Mulina disrupted their Kina counterparts forcing them into errors and wayward passes.
