TAMIK Builders has been awarded the contract of building five new double classrooms at a cost of K1.5 million in the Hagen Open electorate.

Hagen MP and Petroleum and Energy Minister William Duma announced that last week in Mt Hagen, Western Highlands.

He said Tamik Builders was awarded the contract of constructing five double classrooms for five schools – Rebiamul, Hagen Tee, Tarangau, Hagen United and Seventh-Day Adventist primary schools.

Duma said these classrooms would cater for the increasing number of students because with the national government free education, schools were overcrowded.

“I do not want parents and teachers or school boards in my electorate to complain about space, that is why I decided to build these classrooms so that it can assist them.”
