THE Evangelical Lutheran church of Papua New Guinea will once again stage its biannual national women’s conference at Bulolo, Morobe, from Sept 22-29.
Cathy Mui, caretaker of the national’s women’s office at the church’s headquarters in Ampo, Lae, said each of the 19 church districts around the country were expected to send participants.
She said the host district, Yabim, had prepared well, with work in progress on brightening up and making the meeting venue at Sambio friendly for visitors.
The Sambio Primary School, in the Buang LLG on the Bulolo Highway, will come alive on Sunday when the opening ceremony is held.
Mui said delegates would be sleeping at Sambio Primary School and Baiune High School.
Responding to reports of an expected influx of participants, Mui said only the number given by the national office would be catered for in terms of hospitality and logistics.
She said visiting delegations should not send more than 50 participants.
District leaders should bring in canvas or tents to cater for their members if they exceed that number, she said.
