BUIMO prison inmates engaged to help clean parts of Lae were thanked for their efforts with lunch.
The meals were provided by Kuima Security Services owner and managing director Anthon Kaupa.
Kaupa, who travels regularly on the road that was cleaned by the prisoners, said he saw how hard and dedicated they were and decided to buy them lunch and serve it to them.
“We are all human beings and staying in the prison doesn’t mean you are bad but that is where you go and learn to be good men and women,” Kaupa said when serving them lunch.
“You made mistakes and went to the prison and you know your weakness and failures and you will be good men and women when you get out after serving your time.
“You did a job well done in cleaning our roads and the city and I appreciate your input.”
Prisoner Ronald Kiap told Kaupa the inmates appreciated his visit and for serving them lunch.
