THE Butterflies say they are optimistic about their title hopes in the Port Moresby Rugby Football League competition.
Coach Michael Boeo told The National yesterday that he had faith in his team, who have recorded three wins, two draws, one loss and had a bye out of their seven games so far in the premier division.
Boeo, who is into his third year as the Butterflies coach, said there were four Digicel Cup players who would return to the team before the finals.
“I believe in this team but I don’t want to get ahead of myself,” he said.
“The way we have played in the last six games really showed that these boys are in form.
“They have what it takes to go all the way to win the premiership but our focus right now is to win each game as they come.
“Our Digicel Cup boys Maya Clarke (Enga Mioks), Brian Gispe (Rabaul Gurias), Rex Tandowa (Port Moresby Vipers) and Yunny Patrick (Gulf Isou) will return to boost the side as well.
“We are confident that this season will end well for us.”
Meanwhile Boeo said league administrator Meke Maino had informed them that the competition could go into finals this week but it was not confirmed yet.
