NEW Madang Urban Dart Association president Sovo Sike has appealed to all stakeholders of darts to work together to take the sport to the next level.

Sike, who was elected unopposed, said in his maiden speech that his main objective was to bring MUDA to a more professional level.

He emphasised developing the code by encouraging more young people to take part in the sport.

He appealed to other darts presidents in the province to work together and support the code.

He suggested starting an intra-association challenge to ensure they picked the best players to represent Madang at future national meets.

The owner of Niugini Club, Shane Rogers, was the first to answer the call by donating K3000 as sign of confidence in the president to start the association’s 2015 season.

Rogers said the upcoming Momase Regional Mayors Cup tournament would be one of the biggest darts tournaments to be staged in the region and competition was expected to be stiff.
