Call to give report

Letters

ANY head of a public educational institution must give an account or report of how the institution’s funds are being expended, to meet the goals and objectives of this institution.
Such has not been case for Gordon Secondary School (GSS).
In 2017, GSS hosted its annual cultural show, to raise funds to maintain some of its classrooms. Almost all the teachers, students and even the parents participated in that cultural show.
To date, there has been no maintenance work on the proposed classroom maintenance drive, nor was there any formal report from the current principal, who was also the principle at that time.
The actual amount of money that was raised was never disclosed to the teachers nor the students, boards or the parents.
Interestedly, there is another cultural show being planned for this year.
