Call to raise awareness on ‘increasing’ sex crimes

POLICE are calling on authorities and the media to raise awareness on sex crimes which have been on the increase since 2018.
National Capital District Metropolitan Superintendent Perou N’dranou said daily records showed that five to six rape cases were reported involving mostly children and immediate relatives.
“It is really a disgust situation and sad to see. Everyday we are receiving reports of children being taken into the hands of elders in their homes.
“We are asking questions what really is the cause of the rise in these crimes?” N’dranou said.
He called on the media, non-government organsations, churches and the department of community development and religion to have an open discussion on the matter and educate people especially in settlements.
Last October alone, 51 cases of sexual crime were reported to police. Other major crimes such as armed robbery and carjacking were less than 20.
In January, at least four sexual offences were reported daily while only two of armed robbery and carjacking.
“This is a huge problem in society which everyone needs to address,” he said.
He said prostitution involved two people so it was hard for police to act on it.

  • We need to put out a new rules for sexual crime going on every days for those people who practicing this nonsense attitude. The rapist need to dislocate their one side legs and remove their eyes so that they can fuck themselves in their homes.

  • Most rape cases reported are not rape cases. The act is committed when both parties agreed even within the household or with relatives. However, when the act is been caught, it immediately becomes rape case when the female one started reporting to family then police.
