Catechists trained on new methods of strengthening faith

ABOUT 31 catechists and leaders from the Catholic church have been trained on new methods to strengthen their faith in Western Highlands recently.
The New Evangelisation office of the Catholic Bishops Conference of PNG and the Solomon Islands hosted the two-week conference on “Kerygma course on New Evangelisation” at the Mt Hagen Diocese.
“Kerygma” in Greek means: to cry out or to proclaim.
It was aimed at training Catholic leaders in New Evangelisation in the dioceses.
Course coordinator Fr Victor Roche urged the participants to become Kerygma disciples and take positive approaches to challenges faced by the members of the Catholic faith.
The course ended with a commissioning mass.
