THE Central provincial administration staff were in New Ireland this week to establish working relations with the New Ireland government.
Governor Robert Agarobe and his provincial staff were there to learn how provincial executive council meetings were organised to make decisions.
The team observed the running of the executive council and provincial implementation committee meetings chaired by Governor Sir Julius Chan.
Central administrator Gei Raga, deputy secretary Peter Simbakua, human resource manager Cletus Wafi and auditor and adviser Sean McNeill attended the sessions.
New Ireand Works manager Solomon Pela gave an update on the progress of work so far on a number of projects.
One of them was the completion of the 265km Buluminski Highway, expected in December.
The Buliminski Highway is the longest sealed road in Papua New Guinea.
Agarobe and his staff from the Central provincial administration were impressed with the level of efficiency displayed during the two meetings.
