CENTRAL Dabaris are aiming for a top-four finish in the 2021 Digicel Cup campaign as they prepare for Sunday’s season opener against Gulf Isou in Port Moresby (3.30pm kick-off).
Dabaris captain and former SP Hunter Adam Korave told The National on Wednesday that his side had good pre-season which had instilled a lot of confidence in the team.
The forward said his side had recorded strong wins in the trials against defending champions Hela Wigmen and Gulf Isou.
Korave said with their new and old players were combining well, and they were looking to start strongly against coach Nigel Hukula’s men at the Oil Search National Football Stadium. “We had a really good pre-season,” he said.
“We recorded wins over a tough Wigmen side and Isou last month.
“From those trials, there were a lot of positives shown by our young and senior players.
“Definitely, we can make the top-four if we trust our style of pla and put into practice what we’ve learnt.”
