THE Central Province Premier Rugby Football League (CPPRFL) is aiming to run its competition this year despite the recent passing of founder and chairman Jack Kedea.
League director and late Kedea’s son William told The National that the executives were organising the competition with sponsorship confirmed for the season.
“Jack Kedea was very passionate about rugby league and his legacy must continue through the league,” he said.
“We will update everyone on the competition for this year as our major sponsors have confirmed their sponsorship.
“CPPRFL is incorporated and I am the only director now.
“So I will lead the executives and move forward from where the founding chairman has left off.”
The league was founded by the late Kedea in 2014 and was one of his many contributions to rugby.
