CENTRAL Dabaris are hopeful of recording their second win of the season when they face hosts Goroka Lahanis in round four of the Digicel Cup at the Sir Danny Leahy Oval on Sunday.
After a 28-20 win over Kimbe Cutters last Sunday, the Steven Gunua-coached side remain optimistic with new halves William Mone and Presley Soto adding experience to the team.
The Dabaris are ninth on the ladder.
“It was a good win, but there were a lot of errors,” Gunua told The National.
“I was not satisfied with the team’s overall performance. Our set completion rate was poor.”
He said the team had been working hard during training all week.
“I expect an improved game this weekend,” Gunua said.
“We need to complete our sets better. Our ball possession is good.
“We just need to create the right plays.’’
He said the Bintangor-sponsored Lahanis would be looking to use home advantage to record a win.
“It won’t be easy for us,” Gunua said “They are also a strong side.
“But we’re confident of winning the game.”
