PNG Air to continue ties with Dabaris

PNG Air is continuing its support to Central Dabaris for the Digicel Cup season.
As the airline carrier of the Dabaris, PNG Air flies the team to destinations across the country for their away games.
“Our support to the Dabaris began in 2019, since the club was formed into the competition,” the airline said in a statement yesterday. The Dabaris are great representatives and ambassadors of Central, and with their development pathways for upcoming players in the province, and a strong following, PNG Air is proud to support the franchise as it grows in the competition.”
Airline chief commerical officer Simon Pitt, said: “With rugby league being Papua New Guinea’s national sport, we are pleased to support and continue our partnership with the Dabaris, as the sport develops in the country.
Dabaris executive director Hubert Warupi said the airline was important to the franchise.
“As an inaugural franchise sponsor since 2019, the team have been able to travel well to match venues away from home quite comfortably,” he said.
“The quality of service is exceptional. PNG Air is an invaluable sponsor not only to the team, but a friend to the province.”
