Port Moresby Suburban Rugby League chairman Bosky Koke has warned all clubs to meet the competition requirements to avoid omission this season.
During a meeting on Friday, Koke said apart from Killerton Falcons and ICCC Tigers, the other 12 clubs were yet to meet most of the requirements.
“We are already into the sixth round of competition and we don’t want the clubs to be complacent,” Koke said.
Koke outlined the 14 requirements during the meeting.
“All clubs should have a good corporate sponsor which is a vital requirement,” he said.
Koke said each club should have a player base to have enough personnel in their A grade and U20 teams.
“I don’t want to see any semi-uniformed players entering the field after this notice,” Koke said.
“By now, all clubs should have full sets of uniforms.
“Teams who have no proper uniforms will lose two points in every match (until they sort out the issue).
“The penalty will be imposed starting in round seven (this weekend).”
He advised all clubs to appoint executives to properly manage their affairs.
Koke said clubs who paid part of their affiliation fee of K800 had until the end of the month to settle the balance.
He also urged the clubs to register their players quickly as it was a Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League requirement.
