Champion gives trophy to province

National bodybuilding champion Steve Bomal presented his trophy to Chimbu Governor Michael Dua in Port Moresby this week to show his appreciation for the leader’s support.
“I have represented Chimbu in bodybuilding for so long and I’m happy for the governor’s recognition. I’m presented the trophy to Governor Michael Dua, so he could continue to assist us,” Bomal said.
Bomal said the Chimbu bodybuilding team was looking forward to the Mr South Pacific Bodybuilding Championships in Fiji in October.
In November, Bomal will represent PNG at the World Bodybuilding Championships in Thailand.
Dua said his team was working on the design of a new gymnasium which will be built for athletes to use in the province.
“I’m willing to support any athlete representing the province,” he said.
